(sp2010) Migrate/Replicate List Workflows with PowerShell

PowerShell Script for Migrating/Replicating Three-state (and other Non-Declarative) List Workflows.

 

Usage:

  • Migrate / Move SharePoint List or SharePoint Site using Export-SPWeb and Import-SPWeb cmdlets
  • MigrateWorkflowAssociation.ps1 -SrcUrl -SrcList -TargetUrl -TargetList -workflowName -workflowAssociationName -workflowAssociationTasksList -workflowAssociationHistoryList -replaceExistingMatchingWorkflows

 

Example:

  • Export-SPWeb http://sourceweb/Team/ -Path C:\Temp\TeamSite.cmp
  • New-SPWeb http://targetweb/sites/SiteColl/Team/ 
  • Import-SPWeb http://targetweb/sites/SiteColl/Team/ -Path C:\Temp\TeamSite.cmp
  • MigrateWorkflowAssociation.ps1 -SrcUrl 'http://sourceweb/Team/' -SrcList 'Issues' -TargetUrl 'http://targetweb/sites/SiteColl/Team/' -TargetList 'Issues' -workflowName 'Three-state' -workflowAssociationName 'My Existing Workflow Display Name' -workflowAssociationTasksList 'Tasks' -workflowAssociationHistoryList 'Workflow History' -replaceExistingMatchingWorkflows $true
